A PARENT’S STARTING POINT

Choose less. Learn more from it.

Start with one well-chosen paper, then use the feedback to decide what comes next. You do not need to buy the whole collection to begin.

  1. 01

    Get a starting point

Choose a subject, preview its sample and read the format guide. If you are new to the collection, Paper 1 is a convenient starting point.

  2. 02

    Review before buying more

Work through the explanations and practise the topics you missed. Use your 90-day report access to revisit the reasoning.

  3. 03

    Return to fresh questions

When ready, choose another paper in the same subject. Papers 1–3 are distinct sets, not calibrated difficulty levels; their scores are not directly equivalent.

First, check the route and coverage.

Use your target school’s current admissions guidance to identify the exam route. Our collection pages link to primary sources and explain the differences between the official assessment and our subject practice.

EQ covers English, Maths and verbal reasoning where listed. Non-verbal reasoning, spatial reasoning and assessed continuous writing are not included. Some written exams are adapted to multiple-choice skills practice. Use official familiarisation material alongside these papers.

Then choose one subject.

Use recent schoolwork or a teacher’s advice to select a useful focus. Browse the free sample questions and explanations before deciding whether the style suits your learner. Sample questions are separate from the paid papers and do not predict full-paper difficulty.

Set up a fair practice session.

Allow the stated time, a quiet space, a reliable internet connection and scratch paper. Use a laptop or tablet for comfortable reading. Standard time and 25% extra time are available; choose before starting. The timer keeps running through refreshes.

Make the review count.

Ask the learner to explain one correct answer and one missed answer in their own words. Use the report’s topic pointers to choose a small piece of follow-up practice. A single score cannot diagnose ability or predict admission.

What does £5 include?

One 50-question subject paper, one timed sitting, automatic marking, every worked explanation, topic feedback and a short practice plan. Access lasts 90 days from payment, including results review. There is no subscription. Each paper also includes printable A4 question and answer booklets, using the same questions as the online sitting. Three-paper subject bundles cost £15 total, at the same £5 price per paper.

What is still being developed?

The questions have undergone calculation and editorial checks. Independent teacher moderation and pupil timing calibration are still outstanding. Cohort percentiles require 100 eligible first standard-time sittings of the exact paper version and are not national standardised scores.
